Likya, Kizilbel Merlot / Syrah / Öküzgözü, 2007, Turkey – 16 Drink, 2009-11

Merlot 30%, Syrah 30%, Öküzgözü 40%.
Very dark crimson. Sweet and round. Real charm even if not for the very long term. Cherry juice! But a nice kick on the finish.

Likya, Kizilbel Cabernet Sauvignon / Boğazkere, 2007, Turkey – 16 Drink, 2011-14

Thoughtful new producer in an isolated site in the mountains 1,100 m above the holiday centre of Antalya on the south coast. He exhibited at the London Wine Trade Fair and had very good reception. Cabernet 80%, Boğazkere 20% (the Turkish grape like Tannat).
Unoaked but very interesting. Hint of something green on the nose. Very sweet start on the palate. Lots of personality! Gripping tannins on the finish. Real texture. Rather confident. Good potential here.

Likya, Isinda / Kalecik Karasi, 2009 – Dry Rose

Kalecik Karasi 100%.
Cote de Provence style and very delicate style, a very pale coloured light, a sleek rose wine. In the nose it gives wild strawberry, rose hip, raspberry flavour on the palate it is subtle, attractive, this wine is quite long and complexicity. Is a good wine with food.

Likya, Kizilbel Merlot / Syrah / Öküzgözü, 2007 – Dry Red

With the fragrance of prunes, blackberries and soil. Rich and succulent. The perceived taste of sour cherry at the end is very successful. A well-rounded, appealing wine in its true meaning.

Likya, Kizilbel Cabernet Sauvignon / Boğazkere, 2007 – Dry Red

The scent of dried fruits and spices is in the foreground. Rich and with a good body. A nice preliminary taste for the palate. A wine with character and soft tannins holding on at the end.

Likya, Arykanda Chardonnay, 2008 – Dry White

Intense scent of apples. Medium bodied, sebaceous, strong and lively, and an aromatic wine.

Typical Sauvignon flavours in the foreground. Well rounded and leaving a creamy softness to the palate. A wine that is easy to consume.

Deeply coloured black cherry wine in the nose with flavours of black cherry above the smoky layer is available. Repeats slightly the same flavour on the palate.

Likya, Podalia / Kalecik Karasi-Malbec, 2008 – Dry Red

This very clean made wine has aromas of red and wild berries. Long and round wine with silky tannis. Matches very well with steak.
