Red Wine

The colour of the red wine is given by the grape skins which are responsible for the distinct reddish tones. During the fermentation process the skin and the grape juice come in contact and allow dispersion of colour and tannins.

The ideal red wine glass is egg-shaped and slightly narrow at the top to allow the red wine to swirl and breathe. The best temperature to enjoy a sip of fine red wine is between 15-18 degrees Celsius.

Red Wine

Award winning Turkish red wine

The red wine varieties available in our online shop are: Merlot, Syrah, Öküzgözü, Cabernet Sauvignon Bogazkere, Kalecik Karasi Malbec with flavours ranging from prunes and dried fruit to blackberries and cherry flavours.

At Arykanda winery we are passionate about grapes and wine making. Our vineyard is situated at 1100 metres altitude and we harvest our grapes late, chateau style, to make sure all the goodness and the flavour in our grapes is captured and passed to our wine.

Our range of fine Turkish red wines was appreciated by wine critics at international wine fairs. Our Kizilbel Merlot Syrah Okuzgozu 2007 received a silver medal at Challenge International du Vin in 2009 and it was enjoyed by both wine critics and the public. The Cabernet Sauvignon Bogazkere 2007 with its scent of dried fruit and spices and its rich body is the winner of the bronze medal at International Wine Challenge 2010. The accolades do not stop here: Likya Arykanda Cabernet Sauvignon 2008 was awarded the Bronze Award at Decanter World Wine Awards 2010 and any wine aficionado will enjoy it.

Our online shop is open 24/7 for your convenience and we have free UK delivery for all wine cases.
